Is God the necessary grounding point for objective moral value and duty, or can  morality be objectively grounded elsewhere? Listen and watch the following debate, as the eminent Yale philosopher and ethicist, Dr. Shelly Kagan, attempts to defend the idea of objective morality apart from God over and against the classical Christian view that only God can account for morality in an objective sense, being defended by the equally eminent Christian philosopher and apologist, Dr. William Lane Craig.
