I agree with Ehrman in principle: the events of the resurrection, as necessarily miraculous, are beyond the ability of verification or non-verification by historical methodology. In fact, one could very well argue that any “proof” of the resurrection on the basis of material evidence is precisely the very disproof of the thing which is supposedly established…
Very true, the miracles are not the ones that can be known about by the historians, but this is something for which the proof is of the utmost importance. The proof may be in the form of the writing or some inscription which has some hidden meaning good enough to believe. There is no such occurrences as such but people have faith in God and so they believe in the events of resurrection.
